Judith Ann Wolf, of Princeton, NJ, formerly of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at age 87.

Judith and her twin sister Elise were born to Bertha and Louis Greenwald in Newark, NJ. Bertha taught her children the importance of family and this stayed with Judy all her life. She also grew up at the apron strings of their grandmother Fanny where she learned to cook her famous chicken soup. The family was complete with brother Martin and little sister Carol.

Judith married the love of her life, Howard Wolf, the day after she graduated from Rutgers. She had studied early childhood education and put it to good use. Judith’s work life was varied, but it always entailed helping others. Whether she was teaching nursery school, Sunday school at Har Sinai, or offering guidance to the countless young adults at Rider University, her motherly instincts and wise advice have touched many.

Judith enjoyed her hobbies, including sewing, knitting and trying new recipes. She and her daughter Marcia rehabbed well-loved Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls, and donated them to children’s recovery charities. She loved knitting hats for everyone. She traveled with the team, enjoying watching and cheerleading everyone play sports, especially soccer, baseball and wrestling. Judith spent many hours at the bridge table with her best friends winning many hands. Judith was handy with her tools and created miniature houses and dioramas with both Howard and Phyllis. Judy loved visits from Lewis and Kris, and prepared far in advance for favorite foods like chopped liver and brisket. Judith and Howard raised Old English Sheepdogs and Poodle puppies and traveled often.

Judith is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Wolf, spouse of 65 years. Together they  have three children, Lewis and wife Kris, Marcia Wolf and husband Michael Strasfeld and Phyllis Wolf. Grandchildren Ian Wolf and his family, Gordon Wolf, and Parker and Ethan Strasfeld. Her memory will always be carried in our hearts.

Funeral services are 12 noon on Sunday, April 7 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
