Wayne Skjervem of Ewing New Jersey passed away August 19, 2026, after a long battle with cancer, he was 72 years old.
He is predeceased by his parents Helmer and Dorothy Skjervem. Hе leaves behind his wife Thomasene Chojnowski sister Elieen Ulrich (husband Tom) and his stepson Justin Peterson.
He was a life-long volunteer fireman with Pennington Road and served as captain for two years.
Wayne worked 30 years for the phone company and Slocum’s bowling alley. He loved going to Wildwood, NJ. He was an avid NASCAR fan as well as the New York Yankees.
Wayne was a loving and caring man; he was always willing to help whenever someone asked him.
Memorial services will be held with visitation on Saturday, August 22 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

My sincere condolences.
I grew up with Wayne. He lived across the street and was in Georges and my wedding. We shared many good times. My condolences Eileen. May he rest in peace.
