Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, he graduated from McCorristin Catholic High School before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

In the 1990s, he joined the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, where he served as a Radiation Physicist, executing his expertise with professionalism and commitment.
Above all else, Al’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family. He found deep happiness in watching it grow—from his daughters to his beloved grandsons—and cherished every moment spent with them. He enjoyed music, movies, fishing, camping, the Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Vikings, Rutgers Football and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Matilda ( Loretucci) Orlandi.
Al is survived by his brother and sister in law Robert Orlandi and Deb DuBois, his sister Elizabeth Orlandi along with his two daughters, Kristen Orlandi and Heather (Orlandi) Kintzel; his son-in-law, Drew Kintzel; and his two grandsons, Tyler and Evan Kintzel, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is further survived by his former wife Cindy (Yvonne Feight), along with nephews, nieces, “Adopted” daughters, and many family and friends. His dogs, Gunner and Lola, spent countless hours by his side.
The family wishes to extend their deepest and sincere gratitude to the many healthcare providers that assisted in Al’s care throughout the years.

Rest in peace Al.
We worked together at BXC for thirty years. Al was always the first one in each morning and the last to leave. I saw Al sitting at his desk, behind a tall pile by of papers, that never got less. He was very well respected for his knowledge of radiation protection and education.
At lunch sometimes we would go to a Polish bar, grab some food and a beer. Nice days we would go for a walk, Al like to pick Mulberries, when in season, from a tree in the neighbor hood.
Lots of good memories.
I am saddened to hear of Al’s death. He was above all a gentleman and I admired his calm demeanor and sweet nature. I send my love, thoughts and prayers to Kristin and Heather and all Al’s grandkids and loved ones. Sincerely, Julie

He was truly a wonderful person, thoughtful and a great coworker, he made the workplace also feel like a family atmosphere. He will truly be missed.
Al was kind, intelligent and a genuine friend. He was always there with a story or laugh and always made time for a colleague and friend. We really miss his smile every day at work.
Al
You were a great co-worker and friend. Well done good and faithful servant!!! May you rest in peace in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Al was dedicated and one of the noblest of public servants. One of his many legacies was that he qualified over 23,000 radiologic technologists to work in the State of New Jersey. He will be missed for his kindness and a work ethic of getting assignments done well ahead of schedule. Rest in peace Al for your efforts will continue by those you trained in the field of radiation protection.
Al, I remember that day we met when you walked into Monmouth Medical Center to review the Rad Tech program. That was 36 years ago. We remained friends and college’s for all those years afterwards. You were always there for me if I had any questions regarding licensing or regulations while I was at MMC. You were so dedicated in your work and you will be so missed by many. Rest in in peace, my friend.
