I am shocked to hear this terrible news. I was married to his sister Susan for 13 years until her untimely passing in 1995 and during that time we were in frequent contact on family occasions including his marriage to Stephanie and the births of his four children. I admired his intelligence, work ethic, sense of humor and, most importantly, devotion to his family. He will now join Susan in heaven.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Steve’s passing. Steve and I were roommates during law school and remained good friends while he lived and worked in Washington, DC. While we lost touch after he moved to New Jersey, I will always remember Steve for his warmth and genuiness, his special relationship with Stephanie and his love of family, and for his gregarious and fun-loving sense of humor and personality. He was a true “mensch” in every sense of the word and will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

I worked with Steve at the NYSE and it was my great pleasure to have known him. He loved his family – I remember in particular his joy in doing the “dancing dads” with his kids. He was gentle and caring. My heart hurts for you.

Such devastating news. Steven was my dad’s favorite cousin. He was an exceptionally sweet human and I am so incredibly sad to hear this. I want very badly to come up there for the funeral and be with everyone, but I have too many life obligations preventing me from being able to go right now. Please know that I love you Stephanie, Melissa, Matt, Jenny and Sarah. I would like to plan a visit for sometime this summer if you guys will be around? I really need to see you guys and also Danny, Cathy, Wilma and Ronnie too. Peace be with Cousin Steven. He was a real gem and he will be sorely missed.
