WEST TRENTON… Sarah Ann Longfield Hantman, 65, of West Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 11, 2018.
She was born October 19, 1952 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the daughter of Paul and Betty Longfield.
She graduate from Grosse Isle High School, and later went on to receive two degrees from Rider University in the 1970’s – 80’s; Journalism and Accounting. She was a resident of West Trenton for 31 years.
Sarah worked in a variety of positions for the New Jersey Department of Health and the New Jersey Department of Treasury. She retired after 29 years of service. Sarah enjoyed rock concerts, traveling the Caribbean and collecting art and antiques. She always had an eye for beautiful things.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 47 years, Barry Hantman, and their son Bryan, her mother Betty Longfield Kroeger, brothers Matt (Judy), David (Rose) and sister Martha (Dennis), sister-in-law Harlee (William) as well as many nephews, nieces and their families.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23rd at 1pm at the Wet Trenton Presbyterian Church, 490 Grand Avenue, West Trenton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ or the Alzheimer’s Association of NJ.
