Rhoda S. Kessler, 96, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at The Elms of Cranbury, in Cranbury, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to Pauline and Louis Spordick, she was predeceased by sisters Sylvia Landis and Ruth Marano, brother Irving Spordick, brother-in-law Irving Landis, and her beloved husband Isidore Kessler.

Rhoda graduated from Richmond Hill High School in Queens, New York. After attending business school, she worked in Saks Fifth Avenue. In later years, she helped in the Kessler family candy store, and after its closing, she and her beloved Izzy opened and operated Highland Print Shop in Highland Park, NJ until his death in 1982. She later proudly worked for Israel Bonds. While residing in Florida, she served as President of her NA’AMAT chapter for twelve years.

Rhoda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She grew up in a very close-knit atmosphere with her mother and her siblings. She married the love of her life, Izzy in 1948. Together, they provided a family life rich in the things that matter: loving kindness, laughter, and beautiful values that have since been passed on through their children to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are who we are because of her.

Rhoda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Leslie Kessler, her daughter, Beverly Krocker, much loved grandchildren Kim and Jon Hymes, Kenny Kessler and his fiancé Jessica Lewin, Adam Kessler and his fiancé Deena Linn, and Jason Kessler. She is also survived by the great-grandchildren she adored, Rebecca and Benjamin Hymes.

Due to Covid concerns, a private funeral service will take place in Queens, New York.
