Millicent Lee Block Fineburg passed away on February 28, 2023 at 91 years of age.

Her husband William (Bill) Alfred Fineburg passed away in 2006 after 57 years of marriage.

Millicent was born in Derby, Connecticut.  Millicent and Bill lived in Trenton, New Jersey until 1999 when Millicent retired as a kindergarten and grade school teacher in the Hamilton New Jersey School District.  They then lived in Boynton Beach, Florida. Millicent recently moved back to Pennsylvania.

Millicent and Bill were active in the family business, Fineburg’s on Olden Avenue and then Fineburg’s Auto Parts on South Broad Street in Trenton, until it closed in 1968, when Millicent graduated from Trenton State Teacher’s College with her degree in teaching.

Millicent was highly regarded by her colleagues and remembered by many of her students for whom she carried for as if they were her family.  Millicent was a firm believer in education and was proud that her mother graduated from college at a time when very few women did.

Millicent had many friends at Palm Shores in Florida and was active on the community board, loved playing cards and mahjong, attending current events, leading  exercise classes and spending time with “the singles”.

Millicent is survived by her sons and their wives: Herbert Fineburg (wife, Lynn Rosenthal) and Lawrance Fineburg (wife, Rhonda); Larry and Rhonda’s children and her grandchildren Brian Fineburg (wife, Jess) with great grandchildren, Benjamin and Daniel, and Jaclyn Fineburg Lenet (husband: Shaun) with great grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia and Norah ; and Herb and Lynn’s children and her grandchildren Clare and Miles Fineburg.  Millicent’s parents were Benjamin and Adelaide Block of Shelton, Connecticut.

Funeral services are 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 2 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will be private at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
