Maxene Feinberg of Delray Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 98 years old.

Maxene was born on October 16, 1923 to Alexander Shapiro and Ida Chapman Shapiro in Chelsea, MA. At a young age, the family moved to Brooklyn, NY.  Maxene was a graduate of James Madison High School and Brooklyn College.

Maxene married Saul Feinberg of Passaic, NJ in 1946 and they moved to Trenton, NJ shortly thereafter to start their family.  The family were members of Har Sinai Temple and Greenacres Country Club (now Cobblestone Creek.) for many years.

Maxene was a dedicated special education teacher in the Lawrenceville Public School System for over 15 years.

As a young adult she enjoyed horseback riding and was an instructor in Prospect Park. In later years she enjoyed tennis, golf and bocci. She and Saul traveled extensively in the U.S., Europe and Israel. They later moved to Delray Beach, FL. Saul passed away in 2008.

Maxene will be remembered as a giving, kind and selfless woman who cared deeply for all her family.

Wife of the late Saul Feinberg, she is survived by her sons Edward (Linda) Feinberg of Yardley, PA, and Mark (Rona Landman) Feinberg of New York City, a grandson Evan Feinberg of Salt Lake City, UT, and more than three generations of more than 50 nieces and nephews with whom she maintained close ties.

Funeral services and burial are 10:45 am on Wednesday, June 15 at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, NJ.
