Judith Smith, 77, of West Windsor passed away on January 11, 2024 at the Parker at Monroe nursing facility after a courageous battle with ALS.

She was a lifelong Mercer County resident, having grown up in Trenton, raising her family in Lawrence, and enjoying retirement in West Windsor. After graduating from Trenton Central High School, she obtained her bachelor’s and master’sdegrees in nursing. She pursued her passion for nursing first at the Greenwood House nursing home, and then as the school nurse at Lawrence Intermediate School for most of her career.

Judi was first and foremost a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, and attending as many of her grandchildren’s activities as she could. She enjoyed her cats, playing Mahjong, and spending time with her many groups of friends. After retirement, she and Sandy enjoyed their summers on the beach in Wildwood Crest. They traveled to over thirty countries on five continents, collecting memories and souvenirs along the way.

Daughter of the late William Jr. and Margaret Pfaff, and sister of the late Joseph Pfaff, she is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years Stanley “Sandy” Smith, and her brother William Pfaff III.  She is also survived by her four sons Jared, Eric, and Aaron Smith, and Leonard Drumetski, six grandchildren Anya and Kaya Smith, Emily and Aubrey Smith, and Fiona and Leonard Drumetski Jr., and daughters in law Traci, Patricia, and Kristin Smith, and Sharon Drumetski.

Judi was greatly loved and admired on earth, and heaven just received a great nurse.

Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Saturday, January 27th at 3pm at the Princeton Abbey, located at 75 Mapleton Road, Princeton NJ.
