Andrew “Andy Lavine”

1976 – 2023

Andrew “Andy” Lavine, of Delanco, NJ passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 47 after an extended illness.

Andy graduated from Ewing High School in 1994 and went on to earn Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Communications from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). While at TCNJ he became a DJ at the college radio station and started hosting a radio show with friends, which he continued to do up until recently.

His family and friends will always remember his rabid passion for the Ohio State Buckeyes, love of politics and outstanding sense of humor.

Andy is survived by his two children Greyson and Ellen Lavine, his pride and joy, his parents Jessica Coane Lavine of Delanco and Charles (Barbara) Lavine of Lawrenceville, his sister Sarah (Nick) Pankiewicz of Moorestown, and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Gabrielle Lavine, paternal grandparents Louis and Selda Lavine, and maternal grandparents Dr. Sidney and Norma Coane.

Funeral services are 1:30 pm on Tuesday, August 29 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ. Shiva will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of Jessica Lavine.

I was saddened to find out today about Andy. The world is certainly a lesser place without him. My time brief time in the area was made much better by being able to call Andy my friend. Coming to a new school senior year was rough but Andy and a few others made it great. While we lost touch as life pushed us in different directions he is someone that will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget the times we shared together some of which are stories I will tell for the rest of my life. I wish I could be there tomorrow to say goodbye in person. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Andy.
