Richard Corey Weinstein, 50, known as Corey by his family and friends, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, February 4, 2022.
Corey was a kind and caring person who was always there for his family and friends. He was loved by so many people. A devoted partner, son, brother and uncle. He was the first person you called when you needed help, advice, or assistance with any technological problem, which he always managed to solve.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was raised in Bensalem, PA and a longtime resident of Lawrenceville, NJ.
Corey was a graduate of Rutgers University. He found his true passion working with technology, databases and computers and spent many years traveling the country to consult at large corporations.
Son of the late Lynn P. Weinstein, he is survived by his loving partner, Maria Alvarez, his father and step-mother Aaron and Ilene Weinstein, his sister Ina Slutzky (dec. Steven Slutzky), nieces and nephew, Morgan, Malcolm, and Jamie Slutzky, his step-family and many close friends across the country and globe.
A memorial service is being planned for a future date.
The family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
So sadden to hear of your great loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you!
Oh, my goodness, Ina my heart aches for you and your family! I remember seeing Cory many times at Robin & Greg’s house. My sincerest condolences to you, your kids, your dad and your stepmom. You have all endured more heartache than anyone should, and you are all in my prayers today.
Corey was a gentle spirit never saw him mad always the host for super bowl games. May Adoni s peace be on your family
I was so sad to hear of this loss. Corey was such a kind and loving person. A good man. Which you don’t find that often. He was taken too soon.
To Maria, Ina, Aaron and the rest of the family, I send my heartfelt sympathy. May your fond memories of Corey be a comfort to you in the coming months of mourning.
Love, Aunt Dawn
Will always love you dearest friend, Corey. Your loved ones are many, saddened beyond measure, and forever enriched for having you in their lives.
Corey was always incredibly kind and welcoming. He had a living soul that shined through at all times. I’m really glad I had the chance to know him.
I met Corey when my daughter, Kathryn, and son-in-law, Josh, married in 2020. I was immediately taken with his warm personality, his obvious love for Maria, Josh and Kathryn, and his kind and gentle nature. He was a sweet man who was taken from his family and friends way too soon. My sympathies and prayers are with all who loved him. I wish I would have had the chance to know him better.
Our deepest sympathy to Maria, Ina, Aaron and the entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always think of Corey with a smile. He left this world way too soon but touched the lives of so many people. May his memory be for a blessing.
Corey was always one to tell a funny story he was always one to pass it along even about himself. The tamales and his suitcase come to mind and how he ditched his clothes to put more tamales in. And we saw Lord of the rings and viggio was dreaming of liv Tyler and Corey commented I had that dream. And a foodie he was he dragged us to rutz hut in north jersey for the best hot dogs he ever had. I think I’ll remember him as witty I think he would like that. And did I mention the poodle cake he gave to me and my sister. Good times rest in peace.
Oh man…I was hoping he would hang on for a while longer.. he had a tendency to not accept out comes he was not comfortable with and loved to confront the man… ( he even once argued about the sales tax on my small bottle of soda something about taxing the pre discount value) Even the clerk at the convenience store was taken aback… it was during half time during the super bowl!! well I will miss him probably like the rest of the world will.
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your dear loved one Corey. We are thinking of you and sending our love ♡
Corey was a great friend, a generous and thoughtful person who fought tenaciously for his loved ones and for what he believed in. He will always be missed.
I’m so sorry to have been informed about Corey. I still remember when he came to visit in Israel as a young man and was so passionate even then about technology. I also remember his parents giving my mom his outgrown clothes for my boys.
My sympathy to Aaron, Ina, Maria and the rest of the family. May his memory be blessed.
Cousins Charlene and Stephen from israel
Amen to all the comments that precede mine. I was lucky enough to travel to Portugal as well as New Zealand and Australia with him. We did manly things in Vermont and flew kites at Seaside. I have pictures and memories galore of times we enjoyed together. Much as I cherish these, I would rather have him here with us all, alive and well and full of help and caring and generosity. He gave that nasty disease a courageous battle to the very end. His was a life well-lived but way, way too short.
Corey was a kind, gentle, and generous person. He was so loyal and committed to his family and friends. I feel so lucky to have known him. My sympathy to Aaron, Ina, Maria and the rest of the family. May his memory be a blessing.
