I am So Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I have never met Bill but we have had a Great Business/Personal relationship for about 10 yrs. We both worked for PerkinElmer but never crossed paths. We exchanged Personal and Family conversations. He treated me great as I did him. I wish the best for his surving family and especially his wife as I know will require assistance.
BEST
Bill was a mensch. I’m proud to have been a friend of his. Baruch Dayan HaEmet. He will be sorely missed in the local Jewish community.
Bill and I started out as Professional Associates ~45 years ago… and quickly realized we were like “Brothers separated at Birth” & quickly became good Friends! Similar backgrounds in School, studying Pharmacy, “playing: with Chemicals, doing InfraRed in the days before “FT”, all the Cons (BaltiCon, Boskone, PhilCon, ComiCon, ad infinitum), Deadly Ink, Malice Domestic & so much more… especially his endless repertoire of Jokes. I love you, dear Bill; and will miss you terribly. Shalom…
It was an honor and pleasure to call Bill my friend. I will sorely miss our Friday afternoon conversations which covered everything from checking in about the latest news on our families, then 10 minutes of sharing our latest jokes, and wind up with some Star Trek and comic-con news and ending with news around the industry we service. I think the one thing that bonded our relationship is the passion we shared for our family and friends, and how that was placed first in our lives. Bill defined the word mensch.
Peace and love my friend
Bill will be missed. Not only just for his kean scientific mind. But also for his wit and sense of humor. Bill would never turn down a request and saw every problem as a challenge. He knew all my children’s names and offered guidance on many life and work issues. His experience could fill volumes and he shared it all willingly with no expectations in return. A unique man I have known for decades and will never forget.
Bill was my Savior! When nobody would help me years ago, Bill stepped up and lead to me to someone who helped me. From that day, we became friends and he always had time for me when I called. He always talked about family and asked about mine. We had many of calls and they always ended with a thought or a Joke. I miss the guy already….. Rest in Peace Brother.
I worked with Bill for many many years… He was one of the good ones… Always came by our booth at conferences to make us laugh. He said life was too short not to. Whenever we called to pick his brain, he was always so helpful and finished every call with ‘be well’. I would like to think he is still a phone call away… 🙁
