Victor Klimpl

Victor J Klimpl of Plainsboro, NJ passed away on July 30, 2025 at the age of 85.

He grew up in Bayonne, NJ with his mother Ida, his father Milton and his older brother Fred. After graduating from Bayonne High School, Victor attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA studying Electrical Engineering. While working at Western Electric, he continued his studies, earning a Master’s Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.

He worked his entire career in the Bell System. Western Electric became AT&T, which then became Lucent Technologies. At the end of his career Victor came into his own, developing a world-renowned training program for executives called MLP (Manufacturers Leadership Program). He loved that job especially because he traveled the world and met so many interesting people.

Victor had many interests, such as collecting wine – many of them are quite good. He was a sports lover and was a Giants season ticket holder for many years. He was enjoying this season with the Mets since they are doing well…maybe they will go all the way for him! He loved to watch old movies like The Thin Man and Sherlock Holmes. And he could debate politics and history with the best of them!

Victor was very intelligent, kind and generous with a bit of a stubborn streak and a dry wit! He loved his cat Frankie, they were two peas in a pod.

He is survived by his loving wife Karen, his son Evan, his son Alan and daughter-in-law Kim. Also survived by his older brother Fred and sister-in-law Carolyn. He had many other important family members in his life like sister-in-law Cathy and brother-in-law David and many neices, nephews and grand neices and nephews.

Funeral services are Monday, August 4 at 11:00 am at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow in Monument Cemetery, Beverly, NJ.

Shiva will be observed on Monday, August 4th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and on Tuesday, August 5th from 11:00am – 8:00pm at the Klimpl residence in Plainsboro.

Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to the ACLU, the ASPCA and Congregation Beth Chaim of West Windsor, NJ.

Victor will be missed! He was a great friend and many memories over the past 40 plus years too many to mention! In closing his viewpoint on many world topics were both heated and correct! Rest In Peace Victor,
