Roberta Natalie Panter, of Monroe Township, NJ, died on February 21, 2026 at the age of 92.
Roberta was born in Trenton, NJ and graduated from Trenton High School before attending Bennington College and later completing her degree in sociology at Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ. Roberta lived in Edison Township for much of her life before moving to Monroe Township. She worked as a probation officer for Middlesex County Court and then the State of New Jersey for 26 years in the area of family services before retirement.
She liked to travel and entertain and was an avid cook and baker who enjoyed preparing a variety of foods for family and friends. Roberta liked to play bridge and canasta with her friends. Over the years, she volunteered at Hadassah and at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple.
Roberta was a loving wife and mother who loved her family dearly. At work, not afraid to tell the truth, she told people what they needed to hear. She was steadfast to her friends and family.
She was daughter of the late Max Pollock and Lillian Popkin Pollock.
She is survived by her son Steven Panter and daughter-in-law Elana Broch; her daughter, Bonnie Panter and son-in-law Jack Weinreb; grandchildren, Julia Panter and grandson-in-law David Rose, grandson Eli Panter, and granddaughter Ava Weinreb.
Private funeral services and burial were held on February 22, 2026 at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park in Ewing, NJ.
