Rebecca F. Globus

1932 – 2024

Rebecca F. Globus, 91, passed away on January 26, 2024 at her home in Delray Beach, FL, where she resided since 2002.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Rebecca grew up in the neighboring small town of Highland Park, occasionally working in her father’s ice cream parlor at the center of town. After attending Rutgers University, she worked as an executive secretary before settling in the Trenton area where she and her husband, Alvin H. Globus, raised a family. Together Rebecca and Alvin established The Globus Pharmacy in 1965 in Allentown, NJ, where they spent many happy years working together.

Rebecca prioritized caring for her family, and took great pride in the education and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Rebecca was a devoted volunteer at Adath Israel Congregation, The Hun School of Princeton, Hadassah, and the Society of Mercer County Pharmacists. She held leadership positions in every organization of which she was a part, and inspired others. Rebecca was also a licensed real estate agent for many years.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Scott Globus (Sangye Globus) of San Francisco, daughter Donna Globus (Drew Wittek) of Philadelphia, daughter Nancy Globus (Eric Cohn) of Boynton Beach, FL, granddaughter Norbu Rose Globus, and grandsons Pema Norbu Globus and Alexander Cohn. She is also survived by her brother Martin Fais, niece Valerie Stern, and nephews Mark Stern and Neil Plakcy. She was pre-deceased by her husband Alvin, and sisters Lucie Stern Morowitz and Florence Fais.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, at Adath Israel Congregation, 1958 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park in Ewing, NJ.

Contributions in Rebecca’s memory may be made to the Globus Family Scholarship at The Hun School of Princeton, 176 Edgerstoune Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.

    Dear Mrs.Rebecca(AKA)Honey…It was a absolute pleasure working with you last few years of your life..I learned alot from you..you were such a joy to be around..I enjoyed our wonderful conversation,every morning we had our song we would sing in spanish and listening to your favorite music,Frank.sinatra,Neil diamond ,etc..Our puzzles and Bingo times,word search list goes on..every day we watched a different cop show..one of our favorites was the Chicago fire boys..we sure loved it..sitting on patio talking and looking at pics..I was always talking to you about my kids and you loved when I showed you pics of my girls(furball&snuggles)..and who can forget spa day on Thursdays that was always a sing along..I got to know your wonderful children..you were a very lucky woman and loved beyond words..I will miss you deeply..(Decansea en paz(Rest in peace Honey♥️♥️
