HAMILTON… With heavy hearts we share the peaceful passing of Sondra Rosenberg, 71, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 after living with ovarian cancer for more than 8 years.

A graduate of Queens College in New York City, she was a dedicated school teacher, teaching for over 30 years at the Monroe Township High School. She still kept in touch with several of her students after retiring.

Sondra was known to friends and family alike as “Bubbe,” a title she strove for her entire life. She loved crafts including needlepoint and scrapbooking.

Sondra is survived by her husband, Stephen Rosenberg, a son and daughter-in-law Harvey Rosenberg and Melissa Schwartzman, a daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Ben Slavet, a brother and sister-in-law Stuart and Linda Levine, and three grandchildren Sam and Ryan Slavet and Kayla Halegoua.

Funeral services are 11AM Thursday, December 7, at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Harvey Rosenberg in Westfield on Thursday evening and at the home of Stephen Rosenberg on Friday and Saturday evening. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Fox Chase Cancer Center Tree of Life, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
