Saul Levy, 91, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017.

The son of Archie & Betty Levy, he was born in Chester, PA where he lived until 1971. He then lived in Wilmington, DE as well as Aston, PA. Saul resided in Newtown, Bucks County for the last 20 years.

He attended Chester High School and graduated from Penn State taking classes before and after his World War II service in the U.S. Navy. In the years prior to college he participated in the Penn Relay Races in Philadelphia. In addition to running track Saul was a lifelong sports fan frequently attending college and professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey games. He also was a prolific reader, his favorite subject being history. Saul worked for the family Furniture store after college, eventually taking over the business until retiring in the late 1980’s. Saul was a member of Shir Ami in Newtown.

Predeceased by his brother, David Levy, he is survived by his wife, Harriet Moskowitz-Levy, a son, Alan Levy, a daughter, Sandra Goldsborough, a grand-daughter, Serena Levy, and step-children, Richard Moskowitz, Robert Moskowitz, and Marci Rubin.

Funeral services are 11 AM Monday, November 20, at Har Sinai Temple, 2421 Pennington Road, Pennington, NJ. Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, 545 Eggerts Crossing Road, Ewing, NJ. The period of mourning will be observed Monday at 2:00 pm at the residence in Newtown as well as Tuesday at 5:30pm.
