Carolyn Joan Oglensky
1944 – 2026
It is with deep sadness and immense love that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Carolyn Joan Oglensky, who passed away on April 5th, 2026, surrounded by family.
Carolyn lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She built a meaningful and accomplished career spanning more than 20 years in the information technology field. She began her professional journey as a Technical Writer before advancing into a successful role as a Senior Account Executive, where she specialized in marketing IT consulting services and training programs to major corporations throughout the tri-state area. Carolyn took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career. She retired eight years ago, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and impact.
Above all else, Carolyn was an extraordinary mother.
She was a constant source of support, guidance, and love throughout our lives. She instilled in us the values of hard work, perseverance, and doing what is right. Her belief in us helped shape the paths we chose and the lives we’ve built. Her presence was steady, her encouragement unwavering, and her love unconditional.
Carolyn will be remembered for her warmth, her independence and strength, her wisdom, and the deep love she had for her family. She had a way of making people feel cared for and supported, and her impact will be remembered by everyone she touched.
She is survived by her children, David Oglensky and Robin Spucches; her son-in-law, James Spucches Jr; her brother, Martin Mersky; and her cherished grandchildren, James and Sara Spucches, and Ava and Ella Barbara.
Funeral services and burial are private at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
A celebration of life will be held this summer; details forthcoming.
