Ewing, NJ…William Lee Smith, 90, passed away December 25, 2019.
Born in Raleigh, SC, he was a former resident of Virginia Beach, VA and Ewing Township.
He was a general contractor for over thirty years before retiring. He enjoyed going to the casinos, playing the lottery, repairing cars and working on his yard and cooking amazing meals for his family.
Family was everything to Pop and he loved seeing the grandchildren and great grandchildren, they brought him so much joy. Everyone who knew him fell in love with him, he brought a smile and made friends everywhere he went. He was the best “Pop” and “Grandfather” to us all.
Your smile always would light up a room, the smile you gave when you saw your grandchildren will forever be in our hearts. Your love impacted us forever .
William was number nine of twelve siblings: Brother of the late Thee-Offee Smith, John Smith, Turner Smith, Florence Lewis-Smith, Esther White-Smith, Dorothy Jones-Smith, Gurdy Smith, Rayford Smith, Ross Smith, Mitty Smith, Daisy Smith and Archie Bud Smith.
Husband of the late Barbara Garrison Smith he is survived by three sons Darnel, Ronald and William Smith, Jr, three daughters Roberta Richardson (William), Cheryl Smith, Theresa Wright. adopted children Jocelyn Jones, Maria Jones and Barbara Jones, Grandchildren: Nicole Garcia, Brian Richardson, Sonya Wright, Keshia Smith, Rashawn Smith, Brittney Smith, Destiny Smith, Jayden Smith, Nathaniel Smith, Cheyenne Richardson. And Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews. And a host of friends & loved ones, & special family friend Tim Marsh.
Funeral services are 11 am Saturday, January 4 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. Burial will follow at Bristol Cemetery, Croydon, PA.
Calling hours are Saturday 10-11 am at the memorial chapel.
