Sheila Elaine Richman (nee Raskin), of East Windsor, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was 90.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to Jacob and Celia Raskin, she was a graduate of Erasmus High School and attended New York University.
Sheila owned and operated a family business, Berry Rich Farms, and enjoyed traveling throughout the tri-state area. She was a poll worker for over 40 years and was active in local community affairs. She was an active member of Beth El Synagogue where she often volunteered.
Sheila was a creative person. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed other crafts including making cards for her family. She was a skilled mah jongg and canasta player, and she enjoyed spending time at the senior center and going to the gym.
In her waning years she showed herself to be a fierce fighter, facing her illness bravely. She will be greatly missed.
Wife of the late David Richman and sister of the late Alvin Raskin, she is survived by her three children, Steven (Jeanne) Richman, Linda Richman, and Robert (Margery) Richman. She was the loving grandmother of Justin, Kerry, Alison, Hannah, Jordan, Adam and Sarah.
Funeral services and burial are 1:00 PM at the Perrineville – Beth El Jewish Cemetery, 755 Perrineville Road, Millstone Township, NJ.
