Ruth Elkin Mendelson, 100, of Monroe Township passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Moodus, Connecticut, she was a former resident of New Haven, Connecticut and resided in Concordia, Monroe Township the past thirty years.
Mrs. Mendelson was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and earned her Master’s degree at Connecticut State Teachers College.
She was an elementary school teacher for many years before retiring.
Wife of the late Theodore Mendelson, sister of the late Ann Strauss and Abraham Elkin, mother-in-law of the late Bill Felder, she is survived by a daughter Jane Felder, a son Paul ( Debbie) Mendelson four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including Nancy and Neil Lewis.
Funeral services are Friday 11 AM (September 13) at The Jewish Center, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton. Burial will follow at Ewing Cemetery.
The period of mourning will be observed at the Felder residence.
