I am so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. She and Frank were good friends of my parents (Claire and Eugene Greenberg) particularly of my mother’s, through their involvement at Adath. Ruth was always a very sweet and kind woman. May her memory be a blessing.
I am so very sorry to hear about Ruth’s passing. My mom and I first met Ruth and Frank at Adath after my grandmother died in 1992 and my mom was saying Kaddish. We both attended morning minyan and Ruth and Frank were regulars at the minyan. They were both so warm and welcoming and my mom and Ruth became good friends. My mom was very fond of Ruth and she kept in touch with Ruth after she moved to Florida until my mom’s dementia worsened and they lost touch. I will never forget Ruth’s kindness and warmth. May her memory be for a blessing always. I will never forget her.
Sorry for your loss. Ruth was a wonderful person with such a big heart. I have fond memories of her and Frank. I feel your pain.
Sending sympathy wishes to your family. She lived a full life and was a very sweet lady. I remember her during my youth in the Magnolia Dr & Glenside Ave neighborhood. May your wonderful memories and pictures carry you through the difficult times. Peace to you and yours!
She was the glue for the whole family. Was quick and sharp and I enjoyed talking with her. I remember she was with us at the Smithsonian Museum and explaining what we were looking at which was Jewish burial methods from past years. She was only explaining it to my wife and I but shortly she had a crowd listening to her. If I could describe Ruth I think the above would describe her perfectly. Family was what she kept together and she was great. She had a wonderful life and made the best of it.
She will be missed.
I was so saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. We had worked together at Adath in the Sisterhood and we wrapped packages together for Hadassah at the mall at Christmas time. Ruth was an incredible force and a lovely woman. It was a privilege to have known her.
I grew up with the Lubitz family. I remember going home from school for lunch to her house and she would make me sandwiches with faces out of olive slices and palmettos! That was so typical of her – always the extra special piece! Her sense of humor, her generosity, her graciousness and her intelligence were so amazing. She was a second mother to me! Rest in peace, Ruth, you had an amazing life!
