Ronald Sherman, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 81.
Born and raised in The Bronx, NY, he attended High School in Ewing, NJ. He was a resident of Levittown, PA for the past 60 years.
Ronald belonged to Local 9 Plumbers and Pipefitters and was on their examining board, serving as the recording secretary of the executive board and on the apprentice committee. Starting his career at 18, he became Vice President of Local 9 Workers Union.
He was an active member of the Temple Shalom Brotherhood in Levittown. Ronald was a strong-willed, charming, extroverted hard worker who always had command of the room.
Ronald was a huge New York sports fan and he adored the Yankees, Knicks and Giants. He enjoyed spending time poolside, listening to 50’s music (especially Sinatra) and musicals so much that he was a season ticket holder for the Bucks County Playhouse. He loved dancing to music with his wife Carol. Always up for an adventure, he and Carol traveled often and went on many cruises together. Ronald was an avid reader (especially sci-fi books and movies too) and he loved playing poker, grilling and taking care of his home, always taking on housework and projects himself. He also loved scotch on the rocks with a shot of water.
Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 55 years and the love of his life, Carol May, his father Jack Sherman and mother Phyllis Wolfson Sherman, and a brother Steven Sherman. He is survived by his four daughters and three sons-in-law, Bonnie (Ed) Weiand, Mindy (Greg) Floyd, Barbara Sherman and Deborah (Joe) Rutz, and four grandchildren, Jackie, Peyton, Chad and Jarek.
Funeral services and burial are 10:30am on Friday, March 31 at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ.
