Rita Millner passed away May 2, 2025 at the Greenwood House in Ewing, N.J. She was 93.
Rita was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. by her parents, Morris and Ida Goldstein, of blessed memory. After attending Penn State, and graduating from Temple University, she married Joel Millner and moved to Trenton, NJ. They were married for almost 67 years, and lived in Lower Makefield Twp., PA for most of their married life, before moving to Lawrenceville, NJ.
Rita was a teacher in the Hamilton Township (N.J.) School District. She enjoyed many friendships as a member of Greenacres Country Club, the Trenton JCC, and Har Sinai Temple.
She is pre-deceased by her beloved brother, Robert Goldstein.
Rita is survived by her sons Rick (Barbara) and John (Jennifer), four grandchildren: Robert (Sarah) Geoffrey (Amy), Steven (Shelby) and David, and four great grandsons Ethan, Miles, Jack, and Wesley.
Funeral services are at 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 7, at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, N.J. The service will be livestreamed. Please visit OrlandsMemorialChapel.com for the link to view.
Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park in Ewing. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Joel.
Rita was a force to be reckoned with. She was a dynamo! I hold so many cherished memories of times shared with her & Joel celebrating so many simchas in Barbara & Rick’s life together.

I am very sorry to hear about Ms. Millner’s death. She was a very nice lady. My condolences to her sons Rick and John. Also, I was very sorry when I heard about their father’s death. I’d like to send my belated condolences about that, also.
