Nancy Minnick

Nancy Lee Minnick

1944 – 2024

Nancy Lee Minnick (nee Lawton), recently of Windsor, New Jersey, passed into perfect peace on August 6, 2024, surrounded by family, at home, with her grandchildren happily playing in the next room.

A graduate of Princeton Nursing School, Nancy worked in one of the first Intensive Care Units in the country. In over 20 years of nursing, Nancy cared for patients in critical condition, private practice, and at the end of life. Nursing was her lifelong ambition and she took incredible pride in her work as a medical professional and caregiver.

Nancy’s devoted heart also poured out love on her children, David (Cecilia), Susan (Adam), and Daniel who she has now been reunited with in Glory. She treasured her husband, Victor, of nearly 56 years for his love, faithfulness, and goodness. Much to her surprise she was given three grandsons whom she loved and adored; Samuel David, Jesse Daniel, and Levi Asher Isaac, named in her honor. In her last days she joyfully celebrated her life with Victor, David, Cecilia, Susan, Adam, and her brother Nelson Buddy Lawton by her side. She faced her death from cancer as she faced every challenge in her life; with courage, conviction, and a deep and abiding faith in the Word and power of God.

Nancy’s intense spirituality and love for the truth led her to proudly identify with the Jewish peoplehood. A passionate Zionist, Nancy took deep pride in supporting the Friends of the IDF, and the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin. She also enjoyed antiquing, history, traveling, and striking up conversations with everyone she met. Nancy’s bright, warm, energetic spirit will be greatly missed by everyone with whom she shared her radiant smile.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to the Friends of the IDF at fidf.org or the Lone Soldier Center at lonesoldiercenter.com/donate/ .

Nancy’s parting words to all of those who she held dear was a confident and joyful, “See you soon!”

My dear beloved fourth grade friend , Nancy, passed away yesterday.
Her daughter Susan was the love of her life. She took care of my Nancy
from day one with this devastating disease. I know Nancy put her disease
in God’s hands and was ready to face the decision. My heart is broken but
this courageous gal is resting in peace. Shalom, patsy walton

My most sincere condolences to you Susan, your Father, Brother and entire family. I remember Nancy’s smile and infectious laugh. We met when I moved to Yardville Heights so we were often together growing. Always happy, as we all were. I knew how your Mother was suffering and it hurt my heart. Shalom, To my Classmate all thru school, Linda Marsh
