FREEHOLD… Lester Miller, 85, passed away Wednesday September 5, 2018 at his home.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, it was there that he met his wife, Harriet and had two sons. After 10 years of marriage they moved to Sayreville, NJ, raising their boys. 25 years later, after the death of his beloved Harriet, Lester relocated to Freehold, where he resided for over 25 years.
Lester was an engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he worked for 37 years. A crazy golfer and an avid New York sports fan, he lived for his grandchildren who were his biggest hobby. Sharp witted, he turned everything into a song or a poem, and wrote a poem for every major occasion.
Husband of the late Harriet Miller, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Steven and Carol Miller, Jeffrey and Lois Miller, and four grandchildren, Amanda, Haley, Zachary and Michael.
Funeral services and burial are Friday 11am, September 7, at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
