Kenneth Korwin of Hopewell Township passed away peacefully at home after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was 69.

Ken was born on February 4, 1954, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Ken was the second child of the late Bernard and Hana (née Rosner) Korwin and is predeceased by brother Glenn.

Kenneth is a 1972 graduate of Roslyn High School in Roslyn, New York, and maintained a lifetime friendship with his band of friends, “The Cavaliers”. Ken would return to Roslyn annually on Thanksgiving morning to play in the Turkey Bowl with the Cavaliers, a tradition he shared with his children. Ken received his B.A. in Chemistry in 1976 from Alfred University where he was a brother of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

In his career, Ken worked at the forefront of the personal computing revolution working for industry titans IBM, Apple Computer, and Microsoft. Ken founded and managed his software sales agency called ATM Associates for 10 years. Ken would go on to become a successful and trusted financial advisor for many grateful clients.

From a young age, Ken had a fascination with flight. He received his private pilot license at age 19 and would pilot aircraft regularly his entire life. Ken would go on to serve as Captain and volunteer pilot in the Twin Pine Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol where he flew on search and rescue missions during local natural disasters. He later became a flight instructor and mentored several licensed pilots.

Ken is survived by his wife Kathryn (née McLoughlin) and their four children Lindsay (Mariel), Adam, Timothy (Erica), and Stephen (Kaitleen), his sister Deborah, and grandchildren Silas and Desmond. A large extended family including mother-in-law Bridget McLoughlin (née Shaughnessy), siblings-in-law, nieces, and nephews further survive Ken.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 13 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township, NJ, with visitation from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Interment to follow at Harbourton Cemetery, 1516 Harbourton Rocktown Road, Lambertville, NJ.

A beautiful service, so fitting for such a beautiful spirit. Kenny has always been one of my favorite people to see at family events – always radiant, positive, authentic, generous and infectiously enthusiastic. While listening to the beautiful eulogies from Kenneth’s friends – about his selflessness and generosity – I remembered how he used to stop by our house in Moorestown when I was in high school – ostensibly for a short visit – and my Dad would kidnap Kenny and have him diagnose and troubleshoot all of the (many) family computers around the house – which he happily did, for many hours – always with a smile – while my sisters and I tried to distract our dad, so Kenny could make a clean exit and quiet getaway 🙂 His generosity and kindness and willingness to put the needs of others before his own was so obvious to me even way back then – that is such a rare and special quality – and it has stuck with me ever since. Sending much love to Kathy, and the entire family. We will miss him a lot.
