EWING… Karen Steiner, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Originally from Scotch Plains and later Milburn, she was a longtime resident of Ewing Township. A graduate of Rider University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and was near to completing an MBA there as well.
Karen was a Director of Operations at Educational Testing Service in Ewing, where she worked for over 20 years. She also worked at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for nearly 20 years.
She loved collecting coins, attending Broadway performances and spending time with her dog Nibbles.
Karen is survived by Nancy Ruszczyk, her father and step-mother, Joseph and Pam Steiner, grandfather Kurt Steiner, a brother Bryan Steiner and his son Donovan Steiner. She was a loved parental figure to Nancy’s children, Matthew, Allison, Robert and his wife Cynthia. She is survived as well by her stepsisters, Suzanne DelVecchio, Rebecca Bellin, Dr. Jessica Donington, Amy Donington, Rachel Donington, Abigail Billek, and Sarah Barry. She shared a special relationship with Janice Fabian and Holly Fabian. Other friends include Brian Anderson, Lynn Rodi, and Stephanie Bauer.
Funeral services are 11am Wednesday, February 21 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. The family will receive guests from 10am to 10:45am at the funeral chapel.
