Hyman Abraham Margolin, 75, of Jackson, NJ, passed away on February 8, 2024, after bravely battling numerous health issues.

Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, he attended Trenton public schools and attended Drexel University, in Philadelphia, PA.

“Hy” as he was known by his friends and family, was an avid cigar aficionado, Civil War History expert, and loved his “Harold’s” corned beef sandwiches and pickles. He was a selfless person who would bend over backwards for friends and family. His love for driving and skills behind the wheel were known wide and far. He was also the ‘fixer’ who could be trusted to fix just about anything that broke in the house or car. He was a proud father and grandfather and always shared their achievements.

Hy was with Lawson Products, Inc. for 42 years and acquired so many friends along the way. He lived his job and was “one of a kind.”

Hy is survived by his loving wife, Roberta, sister Beth Piarulli (husband Vinny), brother Harold Margolin (wife Judith), daughters Amy Kowalczyk, Sara Margolin, Olivia Margolin (husband John) and son David Margolin (wife Sabrina). Hy is survived by his grandchildren: Annika Kowalczyk, Roman Kowalczyk, Storm Margolin, Soleil Margolin, Natalia Ayus, Kayleigh Margolin, Bryanna Peterson, Amiyah Vance, and Xavier Vance. He is predeceased by his parents Aaron and Daisy Margolin, along with numerous family members.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 11 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow at Workers of Truth Cemetery in Hamilton Township, NJ.

I am just a guy that works at one of his stops. Hy will definitely be missed not only for his vast knowledge of all that is hardware but how he would go out of his way to help us and it wasn’t because it was his job.
Rest well Hy, you have earned your peace.

Hy was one of a kind. A great guy. One of the good one. So long buddy. God speed. I suspect that Heaven will now be well stocked with hardware.

Hy will be missed very much. He knew how to solve any problems we had at our job. He loved his job and didn’t stop until he found a solution for us. Such a very knowledgeable man. He and his wife Bobbi were the best team together for Lawson. Rest in peace Hy.
