Yvonne- Harvey and I are devastated about the loss of Howard. He was such kind person and talented artist – – we are happy that we were the recipients of one of his pieces ( sports). We will be in touch. Our heart are broken.
With deepest sympathy and friendship,
Eva and Harvey
So sad to learn of your loss and for everyone who knew him as a friend and artist. He was a very important member of our family in the 60’s and he made a lasting impression on both my brother and myself. So many happy memories!
A dear and true friend who will be sorely missed!
Sending you strength and peace in your loss.
Elise Abrams and family
Yvonne- My sincere condolences for your loss. It was a gift to be part of Howards care the past year and to have shared conversations and laughter with the both if you. May the love and the laughter of your relationship, as well as the beauty of art surrounding you, bring you comfort and healing at this difficult time……. Fondly – Barbara

My sincere condolences to all of Howard’s family. I knew Howard from school in Princeton back in the 60’s . Always a delight to be with . Ran into him a few years ago in Princeton and we had a wonderful conversation. He was a very talented artist and always had a smile on his face when in my company. Rest In Peace my friend…..

Howard and I went through the Jewish Center Religious School together since I moved here with my family 1955 as I was starting 3rd grade. And because Howard (Zvi) and I each lived in the Borough, we went through elementary and junior high together, at which point we caught up with our mutual friend Josh Goldstein who grew up in the Township. Of course, Josh, Howard and I were the three amigos at TJC and were all Bar Mitzvahed within months of each other. We delighted in telling each other how many mistakes they made during the service. (Back then, we led the entire Shabbat morning service). After graduating from PHS in 1965, Howard and I lost touch for the most part though we’d see each other from time to time in chance encounters in town, and I remember going to one of his art exhibits that featured paintings of PU women sports’ teams in action. I know how close Josh and Zvi remained, and when Josh called me shortly after learning of Howard’s death, he was truly devastated. My condolences on your loss, Yvonne.
Sandie Rabinowitz on December 12, 2021. My condolences to Howard’s family and close friends. I didn’t know him but knew His father, Percy, The Medvin family and Meyer Goldstein’s family. In 2002, The Historical Society of Princeton published a beautiful, informative soft cover book about Jewish Life in Princeton that started Two Hundred Fifty Years ago. The title is “Old Traditions, New Beginnings” This was in honor of The Jewish Center’s fiftieth anniversary. I’m hoping that a copy of the book is in our library.
Dear Yvonne, My deepest sympathies to you on Howard’s passing. He had a kind and gentle soul and was a pleasure to be with. I have fond memories of working with you both in Newark and will cherish them always. Wishing you peace, Don
