Helen T. Lewis
1931-2025

Helen T. Lewis, 94, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. She was born in Princeton, NJ, in 1931 to Ida (Sassman) and Charles Tash. Helen was the youngest of five children, predeceased by her sisters Jeanne Eldridge, Barbara DiMeglio, Annamae Kiefer, and her brother Charles (Buddy) Tash, Jr. She married her beloved husband, James Lewis, in 1953, and they resided in Ewing, NJ together until his death in 1999.
Helen worked as a bank bookkeeper for over 40 years at several banks in Mercer County until her retirement from Bank of America in 1996. Helen was a fantastic bowler in her younger years, and her love of the game still exists in her family today. An avid country music fan, she would listen to reels, cassettes, and CDs for countless hours, in addition to playing her piano. She loved cardinals, frogs, and violet flowers and never met a bracelet or brooch she wouldn’t wear. Sunday dinners at her house were a tradition for decades, with a steady menu of her classic meatloaf (breaded on the outside!), roast beef, and thick hamburgers. Christmas Eve at her house was a sight to see, with stacks of presents for all and sandwiches, Fritos, her classic stuffed clams, and Icebox cookies until well after midnight. The quintessential mother and grandmother, her candy dish was never empty, and there was always ice cream in her freezer. She loved making crafts and whistling, enjoyed playing Words with Friends, was always good for a smile and a hug, and adored her cat Snickers.
Helen is survived by her three loving children: Sandra Rainier and her husband Michael, son Steven Lewis and his wife Donna, daughter Sharon Farkas and her husband Christopher; her four grandsons: Joseph Lawrence and his wife Kristin, Steven Lewis, Jr., Jason and Brandon Farkas; two great-grandsons Evan and Kyle Lawrence; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
