Helen E. Burd, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at home in Annandale, NJ.
Born August 19, 1928, she resided for many years in Davis, CA before returning to New Jersey. She graduated from Rutgers University and was a member of MENSA. She retired from Hunterdon Developmental Center after more than 25 years of service.
Helen is predeceased by her parents, Helen E. Lucas and Isaac N. Burd and her brothers Richard E. Burd and Ronald Burd.
She is survived by nieces Kathleen Bilbee of Annandale, NJ, Karin Mifflin of Trenton, NJ, and Rebecca McIntosh of Acton, CA. She is also survived by great niece and nephew Wendy Goldy of Trenton, NJ, and Russell Mifflin of Morrisville, PA, as well as several great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary, 1100 Route 202, Ringoes, NJ 08551.
