Glenda Beller

1937 – 2026

 

Glenda Phyllis Beller, of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 5, 2026, at the age of 88 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Glenda was born on July 12, 1931, in the Bronx, New York, daughter of the late Estelle (Rosenfeld) Schwartz and Allen Schwartz. She and her husband Paul Beller raised three children in Baltimore, Maryland. Glenda and Paul have lived an active retirement in Monroe Township, New Jersey’s Stonebridge community for the last 18 years.

Among her many achievements, Glenda was most proud of her career as a contract analyst with the Medicare program’s Health Care Financing Administration. Glenda was also gifted in knitting and needlepoint, an avid piano and mah jong player, photographer, reader, founding life member and first co-president of the Stonebridge Hadassah chapter, mother of three beloved poodles, (Pierre, Bingo, and Blue), and famous for her cheesecake. Glenda and Paul enjoyed numerous vacations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Paul Beller, beloved children Karen Brodsky (nee Beller) and Eric Beller, son-in law Charles Brodsky, daughter-in-law Jodi Beller, grandchildren Rachel Brodsky Barefoot, Deborah Levine, Brandon Beller and Briana Beller, grandsons-in-law Burton Levine and Taylor Barefoot, cherished great-grandchildren Leah and Noah Levine, her sister Thelma Fox, and her nephews. She is also survived by numerous close friends and by her compassionate, loving caregiver Gricelda Medrano.

Funeral service and burial are on Monday, February 9th at 12:00 pm at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 in the Garden of the Prophets.

The family will be sitting shiva at Glenda’s home in the Stonebridge Retirement Community following internment on Monday, February 9th from 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm -9:00 pm, and on Tuesday, February 10th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Enter through the visitor’s gate on Tower Boulevard off Federal Road in Monroe Township and the guard will provide the house address.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Glenda’s memory to Hadassah or to the American Cancer Society.

    Glenda was an amazingly strong person, an awesome friend, always smiling and thinking positive even when she was going through difficult medical times. One of the kindest people I have ever met always wanting to learn new things, and even during hard times looked at the bright side of life. I miss her so much
