Florence Grenis

Florence Miskin Grenis, of Hamilton Township, passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 89.

She was born and raised in Newburgh, NY and for the past eight years she resided in Hamilton, NJ. Florence was a graduate of the University of Rochester. She taught piano for over 50 years. She organized musical events and served as a judge at musical competitions.

She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Florence is survived by her husband of 68 years Lewis Bertram Grenis (Bert), her three sons: Michael (Linda) of Princeton, and their three children Ricky (Bonnie), Billy (Mauri) and Caroline and two great grandchildren Simon and Ronen; Daniel (Stacy) of Mt. Airy, MD, and their two sons Stephen and Noah; and Matthew (Lisa) of Owings, MD, and their two children Rachel and Eric (Kiersten.)

Funeral services are Wednesday, December 11, at 12:00 noon at The Jewish Center, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Burial will follow at Princeton Cemetery.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Linda and Michael Grenis on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM both evenings.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Jewish Center and Greenwood House.

    I have loved Faige for as long as I can remember. She taught me piano when I was in elementary school. We’ve kept in touch a little bit over the years. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. She was an incredible woman, and I respect her immensely
