EWING… Daniel L. Brandt Sr., 84, passed away Sunday July 29, 2018.
Born in Berlin, Pennsylvania, Mr. Brandt was a resident of Ewing, NJ, for most of his life. He was employed by Adley Express, Pacific Intermountain Express; and then eventually, he retired after many years at Johnson & Johnson. He was also an active member of the Teamsters Union, The Elks Club and Lannutti’s Rod & Gun Club. He had a passion for all types of music, particularly that of Tito Puente. He lived an active life, and seemed to do everything—he loved boating, fishing, all things automotive, and most sports. He enjoyed the outdoors at Mount Pocono Camp Ground, spending time in Florida, cruising on ships, and quality time with his family. He also enjoyed spending time in his garage hanging out with friends. He was a connoisseur of good movies—his favorites, to name just a few, were The Godfather, Valdez is Coming, James Bond, The Bourne Series and any John Wayne classic.
Son of the late Orville and Catherine Brandt, brother of the late Eileen, Junior Orville and John, husband of the late Janet L. Brandt, father of the late Laura Brandt, son-in-law of the late Elizabeth Dempsey, father-in-law of the late Dana Brandt and Christopher Closson, he is survived by his son Daniel L. Brandt Jr., six daughters Deborah Zuno and companion William Campbell, Linda Simon and husband Curtis, Delilah Closson and companion Anthony Silva, Angel Griffith and husband Monroe, Carol Roberts and husband Scott, and Susan Brandt. He was the proud grandfather of ten, Laura Jean, Eric & Amy Zuno, Lindsay & Matt Cyples, Kristine, Daniel, James, Jennifer, Joseph, Julia, Jordan; along with 7 great grandchildren, Hannah, Anthony, Nicolas, Alia, Matthew, Leo and Hope; his closest friend Bill Shuster, several nieces and nephews
Funeral services are Saturday August 4, 10 AM at the chapel at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ. Calling hours are Friday August 3, 6 – 9 PM at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
