Caryn Leigh Sacharov
1972 – 2022
Caryn Leigh Sacharov, of Langhorne, PA died May 13, 2022. She was 49.
Private funeral services and burial were held at B’nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
CARYN WAS A DETERMINED, COMPASSIONATE, CARING….STRONG BUT SWEET WOMAN.
CARYN WAS A “TOMBOY”. SHE DIDN’T WANT TO SIT STILL…ALWAYS ON THE MOVE, FEARLESS.
WHEN SHE TOOK GYMNASTICS , WITH THE HELP OF HER “COACH” FATHER, AND HER DETERMINATION, SHE TOOK 5TH PLACE IN STATE COMPETITION ON THE BALANCE BEAM.
EVEN WHEN SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES, THE VERY FIRST TIME SHE LEARNED HOW TO FILL A SYRINGE, SHE JUST JABBED IT INTO HER THIGH WITH NOT SO MUCH AS A FLINCH.
THEN CAME BEAUTY SCHOOL. SHE WAS DETERMINED TO BECOME A HAIR DRESSER, WHICH SHE DID, SWENT ON TO OPEN A NEW SALON IN ANOTHER LOCATION.
SHE WAS THE LIASION BETWEEN HER STAFF AND THE OWNERS. HER STAFF RESPECTED AND LOVED HER. SHE REMAINED IN TOUCH WITH A FEW, WHO HAVE SINCE BECOME LIKE FAMILY. UP UNTIL HER RECENT HOSPITALIZATION, HER FRIENDS WOULD CALL TO ASK CARYN’S OPINION OF WHATEVER PROBLEM THEY COULDN’T SOLVE ON THEIR OWN. AND SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO LISTEN…
SHE WAS LIVING IN HER OWN APARTMENT, KEPT HER TIPS IN HER “TIP JAR”. SHE LOVED HER INDEPENDENCE. BUT SHE WANTED COMPANY….IN THE FORM OF A DOG. SHE HAD PICKED ONE OUT AND SHE WANTED HIM SO BADLY, BUT WAS AFRAID OF WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO HIM IF SHE GOT SICK. SHE HAD GOTTEN SO SICK, SHE AND GUNNER HAD TO MOVE IN WITH US.
LIFE HADN’T BEEN EASY FOR CARYN, BUT HER SPUNK AND DETERMINED SPIRIT HELPED HER THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES. WHEN SHE LOST HER LEGS, HER PROTHETIST DIDN’T THINK SHE WOULD EVER WALK. BUT SHE DID. WITH THE HELP OF HER PHYSICAL THERAPIST, SHE WALKED WITH CANES AND EVEN WENT UP AND DOWN STAIRS. SHE HAD GRIT.
FOR ALMOST 11 YEARS, CARYN’S HEALTH HAD BEEN RELATIVELY GOOD…WITH THE HELP OF HER GREAT DOCTORS.
HER LOSS OF INDEPENDENCE BOTHERED CARYN GREATLY. ALL SHE WANTED WAS TO GET HER DRIVER’S LICENSE. SHE TOOK SOME LESSONS, AND WITH HER WONDERFUL INSTRUCTOR, ONCE AGAIN CARYN’S DETERMINATION PAID OFF. THERE WAS NEVER A BIGGER SMILE ON HER FACE, THAN ON THAT DAY, EXCEPT MAYBE WHEN GUNNER CAME TO LIVE WITH HER.
ON FEBRUARY 25TH GUNNER DIED. IT WAS A PEACEFUL DEATH.
THERE’S A STORY ABOUT THE “RAINBOW BRIDGE”…WHEN A BELOVED PET DIES, THEY CROSS OVER THE “RAINBOW BRIDGE” AND THERE THEY MEET NEW FRIENDS, AND THEY ALL PLAY TOGETHER IN THE GRASSY MEADOWS. BUT THEN…ONE DAY…A DOG WILL STOP AND TURN AROUND AND SEE THEIR “HUMAN”.
THE FAMILY FINDS PEACE IN SEEING SWEET CARYN, SPOTTING GUNNER, AS THE TWO OF THEM GO RUNNING TOWARDS EACH OTHER.
UNTIL WE ARE TOGETHER AGAIN CARYN…..143
Caryn, this is such a deep loss because you are truly loved so deeply. You have been one of the greatest friends I could ever have in my lifetime. We were there for each other through the ups and downs of life. You are so dear to me and will be forever in my heart. You have not only listened to me Caryn- you are an inspiration to me and so many others. Your strength was absolutely endless and your ability to listen was so honest and pure and appreciated. Lynda and Aaron I am so sorry to hear of Karyn’s passing. May God help you find peace and comfort in your many wonderful memories of your beautiful daughter. 🙏🙏🙏
Lynda and Aaron, we were so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved daughter and can’t imagine your pain. We hope that one day you will be able to smile with the memories of Caryn instead of only shedding tears. I only met her once, but even that once her smile lit up the room. Sending love and warm thoughts.
Lynda & Aaron, I am so sorry for your loss. Caryn & I were close friends in high school at LHS. We had just got back in touch a few years back and she explained her health situation. We spoke several times on the phone and laughed out loud about old memories. She will forever be in my heart.
God bless you and rest easy knowing that Caryn is walking peacefully next to our lord.
