Barbara Ann Koslow Kimmelman passed away on February 4th at 2:30am at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. She was 93 years old.
Barbara was born on June 14th 1931 in Trenton, New Jersey to Michael and Gertrude (nee Habas) Koslow. She grew up on General Greene St. with her brother Harold Koslow (deceased). She graduated from Trenton High School and the New Jersey State College for Women, which became Douglas, and later, Rutgers University.
On June 13th 1954, Barbara married Donald E. Kimmelman of Bordentown, NJ and they moved to Youngs Road in Hamilton Township. There they had two daughters, Robin Lynn and Michele Paula. In 1963 they moved to 72 Bedford Place in Yardley, PA.
Barbara worked as a secretary for the State of New Jersey before retiring, a homemaker, a loving and attentive mother, and a wonderful wife and daughter. She was a member of the Har Sinai Temple Sisterhood as well as a Democratic Committee Woman for Bucks County.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Kimmelman Rednor Veghte, a son in law Robert Veghte Kennedy of Nantucket, MA and NYC as well as nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Donald E. Kimmelman (d.2006) and her younger daughter Michele “Missy” Snyder (d.2009).
Funeral services are Friday, February 7th at 11:00 am at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Rd, Ewing, NJ. Burial to follow in the family plot at the Ewing Cemetery.
