I just noticed this obituary of Dr. Sherbin and it has prompted me to write two things about him, one serious the other amusing. He was our first doctor (wife and mine) when we moved to Jersey in the mid 60’s. He treated my wife for hepatitis and brought her back to health. He also gave me my 1st ever proctoscope exam. Embarrassing yrs ago, I recall how he told me to assume the position. Using his scope he informed me of the fact that I must’ve consumed corn sometime before the exam.. very clinical I know but at the time both embarrassing and amusing.
