Anita M. Pinkus, of Ewing Township, NJ passed away on February 2, 2023. For the past year, she resided at the Greenwood House. The family is grateful for the outstanding and compassionate care she received there.
Anita was born in 1940 to Max and Blanche Brown and was raised in the Newark area. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Douglass College, where she majored in History. Anita moved to Trenton in 1960 when she married lifelong Trentonian David Pinkus. She worked for a period at the Department of Labor in Trenton and ultimately became the office manager for David’s burgeoning dental practice. After David passed, Anita became a salesperson at Macy’s. Anita had many interests and hobbies. She was an accomplished water color artist and an avid gardener. She loved to take walks and could identify any and every plant species. She had a passion for accumulating all manner of collectibles.
Anita was predeceased by her husband David Pinkus, her son Michael Pinkus, her sister Rona Brown and her brother Aaron Brown. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Larry and Sara Pinkus, daughter and son in law Ellen Pinkus and Kevin Poirier as well as two grandchildren Devon Pinkus and Rebecca Pinkus.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, 545 Eggert Crossing Road, Ewing, NJ.
