EWING… Norma B. Korsen, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, with family members by her side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a graduate of the GAR Memorial High School. She relocated to Philadelphia when she married in 1952. She was later a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ for over 30 years, and of Ewing for the past 25 years.
Norma worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Wilkes-Barre and in Philadelphia.
A loving wife who adored her children and grandchildren, family was her life. She enjoyed reading, the theatre, travel and spending time with family and friends. She visited many places although Disney World held a special place in her heart. Norma is remembered as a sweet, loving person who would strike up a conversation with anyone she met.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Korsen, she is survived by a daughter, Linda (Bruce) Stern, two sons, Elliott (Anne) Korsen, and Neil (Phyllis) Korsen, six grandchildren, Anna, Asa (Jen), Courtney (Charlie), David, Emily and Sam, and three great-grandchildren, Arlo, Emeline, and Liliana.
Private funeral services were held September 14 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to Greenwood House or to the Sunshine Foundation’s Operation Dreamlift.
