Robyn Friedman

TINTON FALLS… Robyn Danielle Friedman, 44, passed away August 26, 2018 at her home.

Born in New York City, she grew up in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She graduated from Lawrence Township High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Franklin Pierce University (in New Hampshire), and a master’s degree of social work from Monmouth University.

Robyn was a hard worker and a gentle soul who was always empathetic and respectful toward the downtrodden. She could relate to any person regardless of their station in life. She loved animals, rescuing and fostering cats in New Haven, Connecticut, in addition to having many pets throughout her life. She is remembered as a caring soul who loved nature, the ocean, and the beach – especially Long Beach Island.

Robyn is predeceased by her grandparents, Thomas and Jean Friedman, Alex Mangel, uncle and aunt, Arthur and Barbara Weiss, aunt Roberta Roth, cousin Stuart Weiss, and beloved pets Chloe, Jade, Odessa, and many more. She is survived and loved by her parents Dr. Richard and Adrienne Friedman, grandmother Dorris Mangel, uncle and aunt Bill and Diane Friedman, uncle and aunt Dr. Warren and Judith Mangel, as well as many cousins, extended family and friends, and her pets Jasper, Grace, Starr, and Feather.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday September 5 at The Jewish Center in Princeton.
