EWING… Mary M. (Burkert) Tassone, 96, passed away July 9, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Born in Trenton and a graduate of Trenton High School ‘40, she was a Ewing Twp. resident and member of St. James Catholic Church and their senior citizens club. She worked for the Pentagon before marriage and enjoyed fishing, reading, trips to the casino, and spending time with family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary Burkert, her husband James J. Tassone, her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Gary Reading, her sister Elsie Prickett, her brothers William, Anthony, and Joseph Burkert. She is survived by her daughters Marie (Robert) Davis, Linda Tassone; grandchildren Renee (Mike) Griffis, Kevin Reading, Brian, Chris (Lindsay) and Adam Davis; great grandchildren Patrick Griffis, Sage and Makenzie Davis; daughter-in-law Wendy Reading; sister-in-law Florence Burkert; brother-in-law Daniel Prickett and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 13, 11am, at St. James Catholic Church, 29 East Paul Ave, Trenton. Burial will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 10am until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. James Catholic Church.
