SAN DIEGO, CA… Alan Koenigsberg, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, East Windsor, NJ, Denver, CO, Naples, FL, and Singapore, passed away on June 19, 2018.
Born March 19, 1941, the son of Charles “Willie” and Blossom Koenigsberg, He joins the love of his life, Beverly Koenigsberg (1943-2013), in spirit.
Alan is survived by his children, Lori Holleran (Jordan Steiker), Jason Koenigsberg (Ana) and four grandchildren, Blake, Aaron, Eliza and Max; his sister Harriet (Gerard Rosenberg), his brother-in-law Ira Feit (Lisa), and four nephews (Mark, Arthur, Rich, and Bob).
He graduated from Brooklyn College and Columbia University (MBA). He worked for CBS, US West and MediaOne. Helping families with alcoholism was his truest passion and his wisdom, joy, and selfless service are forever part of the Alanon fellowship. His huge spirit is woven into the hearts of all that had the gift of knowing him.
Funeral services are Sunday, 10AM, June 24, at Congregation Beth Chaim 329 Village Road, Princeton Junction. Burial will follow at Ewing Cemetery. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to University High School in Austin, TX (uhighschool.com)
