SILVER SPRING, MD… Henry H. Matelson of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Ewing Township, NJ and Middletown, DE, died Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Sadye Matelson.
Mr. Matelson earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in education from Montclair State University.
He began his career as a high school teacher in Wayne and Haledon, N.J., and later worked as an administrator at the College of New Jersey for over thirty years.
Husband of the late Carole Matelson, who passed in 2007, he is survived by his son, Bennett Matelson and his wife Amy of Alexandria, VA; daughter Sara Matelson Taylor and her husband Jay of Silver Spring, MD; a sister, Linda R. Matelson of Fair Lawn, NJ, and 4 grandchildren, Clara, Sienna, Marley and Becky.
Private services and burial were held on Monday at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
