In Loving Memory of
Linda Durlacher Grunbaum
Linda Durlacher Grunbaum, born on March 16, 1949, in New York, NY, lived a life filled with love, laughter, family, adventure, and cherished memories.
Linda married her high school sweetheart, David Grunbaum, on December 14, 1969, beginning a life together that would be filled with countless memories and adventures. The two eventually settled in Twin Rivers, New Jersey, and then ultimately in West Windsor, NJ where they raised their two children, daughter Lesley Gavioli (husband Gregg) and son Jeffrey Grunbaum (wife Michelle).
Nothing brought Linda greater joy than her family, especially her five beloved grandchildren: Alexandra, Valerie, Camryn, Madison, and Emmerson. Being a grandmother was one of her most treasured roles, and her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.
Linda was a devoted and enthusiastic presence throughout her children’s childhoods. She was deeply involved in their schools and activities and could always be found cheering them on at their sporting events. Known for shrieking the loudest from the sidelines, Linda made sure her children always knew she was their biggest fan and most passionate supporter.
Outside of family, Linda had many interests and passions that brought her happiness. She loved playing Mahjong and especially enjoyed teaching the game to others, sharing both her knowledge and her love of the game. She also loved to cruise, and one of the greatest achievements she and David shared was traveling the world and experiencing all that it had to offer.
Linda found comfort and enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading Danielle Steel novels and magazines, and she had a special passion for clipping and collecting recipes. These little hobbies were a reflection of her curiosity, her warmth, and her appreciation for life’s everyday joys.
Linda will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her enthusiastic spirit, her love of adventure, and the countless ways she made herself part of the lives of those she loved. Her presence, laughter, and unmistakable voice cheering from the sidelines will be deeply missed, but the memories she created with her family and friends will live on for generations.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Linda’s memory be made to UJA-Federation.
Funeral services and entombment are Friday, October 30 at 10:00 am at Beth Israel Cemetery, Sanctuary of Israel Mausoleum, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ.
Funeral arrangements are by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel.

I was good friends with Linda quite a while ago. She was always fun to be with. I’m so sorry for the family.
