Sharyn Ritter

EWING… Sharyn Ritter, 69, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018.

Born in Newark, she was a former resident of Iselin, and later Waretown, before settling in Ewing, where she spent the last 40 years.

A graduate of Glassboro State College Class of 1970, Sharyn was an elementary school teacher in the Trenton Public School System where she taught for 25 years before retiring in 2009. The Ritters were members of Adath Israel Congregation for 40 years, and she was active on committees at the synagogue.

She loved reading, going to see Broadway shows and spending winters in Florida.  Her children and grandchildren were first and foremost in her life.  Sharyn took pride in organizing and hosting all family special occasions providing a warm welcome to all.

Sharyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mark, two sons Adam and Eric, two daughters Aimee and Hollie, two brothers Neal and Gary and six grandchildren Camille, Paige, Aaron, Sloane, Marlowe and Marisa.

Funeral services are Thursday 11AM, January 18, at Adath Israel Congregation, 1958 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ. The period of mourning will be observed Thursday through Monday at the Ritter residence in Ewing. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
