Gloria DiFrancesco McGowan of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away on June 12, 2025 at Helene Fuld Medical Center, Trenton, after a short illness at age 95.
Gloria was born in Scotch Plains NJ in 1929 to Paul and Clara Checchio DiFrancesco. She was raised in Scotch Plains and graduated from Scotch Plains High School. Gloria worked alongside her husband Gaylon on their dairy farm in Bangor ME. After coming back to NJ she worked at the library at the then Trenton State College until her retirement in 1991.
Predeceased by her husband Gaylon H McGowan Jr., her daughter, Valerie McGowan, and brother Paul DiFrancesco; she is survived by her son Michael G. McGowan (Sheree) and two daughters, Donna Micai (Dennis), and Elaine McGowan; grandsons, Martin (Hannah) and Matthew; granddaughter, Alison (Matt), and two great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters Marie DiFrancesco Leppert and Jean DiFrancesco Ruland and brother Donald (Diane) DiFrancesco, many nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at Ewing Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
