1953 – 2025

Allen I. Cohen, 71, of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 26.

He was raised in Belleville, New Jersey, by his parents of blessed memory, Florence and Morris Cohen. He was a Lawrenceville resident for the last 37 years.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 1975, and Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1984.

Allen retired in 2023 following a career in commercial real estate and public housing, with the last 13 years working for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

He was a longtime active member of Adath Israel Congregation in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Allen had a zest for travel, diligently planning trips to national parks, state capitol buildings, and all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. He was committed to staying current by reading and watching the news daily. He also never turned down a chocolate dessert.

Allen was the beloved husband of Gale; proud father of Michael and his wife, Hilary; Adam and his wife, Rachel; caring grandfather of Harper and Austin; dedicated brother of Robert Cohen. His love of his family extends to his sisters/brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services are Monday, April 28 at 11:00 AM at Adath Israel Congregation, 1958 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Burial will follow at King Solomon Memorial Park in Clifton, NJ.
