David Rubin, of Ewing, NJ, passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of sixty-four.
David was born in Brooklyn, NY to Howard and Rita Rubin and spent parts of his childhood in Belleville before the family moved to Rockaway NJ, where David met his wife during high school. After separating for college they married, attended graduate school together, and built their life and family in Ewing, NJ.
David was an avid learner throughout his life; a history or biography book was always nearby, and he could often be found at synagogue educational events. He had a large community of gaming friends around the world, and enjoyed playing card and board games with family and friends. He took an active role at Adath Israel, serving many years as Treasurer.
David is survived by his wife, Holly Rubin, children Jonathan (Cullyn) and Matthew, mother Rita Rubin, brothers Steven Rubin (Sandy Grossman) and Mark Rubin (Jennifer Melnitsky), brother-in-law Jordan Corn (Rory Van Fossen), nephews Ben Rubin, Zack Rubin, Evan Corn and niece Jillian Corn.
Funeral services are 10:30AM on Monday, May 13 at Adath Israel Congregation, 1958 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ. Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to Doctors without Borders or Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
