Lawrence Wiener

Lawrence Wiener, of Ewing, passed away on April 14, 2023 at the age of 88.

Born in Brooklyn, he was a longtime resident of the Trenton area. Larry was a sales rep at Town and Country Aluminum for many years before retiring.

Larry grew up on Union Street in Trenton where his father had a kosher butcher shop, Liberty Meat Market. The family later moved to Bellevue Avenue and the butcher shop moved to Hermitage Avenue.

He loved to read, especially non-fiction. He loved to cook and he greatly enjoyed eating out regularly at his many favorite restaurants.

He supported many charities, but especially Special Olympics and Easter Seals of NJ, where his son David worked at the sheltered workshop.

Larry was a real people person. He enjoyed being in the company of others and would do anything for anyone that needed help. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend. His broad smile and joyful laughter will be missed by many.

Predeceased by his wife Jean Wiener, his son David Wiener, and his brother Barry Wiener, Larry is survived by his sister-in-law Rosie Wiener, his niece Dori Hamill, many cousins, and many devoted and caring friends.

Funeral services and burial are 11:00 am on Sunday, April 16 at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ.

Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to Greenwood House, or to a Charity of Your Choice.

Funeral arrangements are by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel.

Our condolences to the family! We have many fond memories of times spent with Larry, Jean and David. My Brother Arthur and David grew up together. Larry became a single father after Jean died and he was a very caring and loving father. He could always have a smile and a way to make people feel glad to have known him.
His Family are together again and happy
